Give yourself the necessary edge, build your work contacts and network, let you mentor know you mean business.
4. Ask for a meeting.
When you have a mentor or meet an interesting person at work ask them out to coffee, get to know them. It’s better to know someone personally and have them assist you, than to just have someone assist you. This is the opportunity to discuss what your goals are.
